We Are Family: Lucy and Libby Hartenberger

2/22/2012 8:51 AM

CHG is sometimes referred to as a "big, happy family." For some employees, however, that phrase rings very true -- they work each day with their family, whether it be a spouse, sibling, son, daughter, mother or father. Get to know our real-life CHG families in this series of stories, We Are Family!

Though they don’t work in the same office, sisters Libby Hartenberger and Lucy Hartenberger-Jimenez enjoy spending their days just 30 minutes apart at Weatherby Healthcare and RN Network, respectively.

“The staffing industry can be challenging and unpredictable, and it helps that my sister really understands the stressful days,” Libby, a sales consultant for the Weatherby Healthcare emergency medicine team, shares. “The best part about working with family is the support we can provide to each other.”

Sisters Lucy, left, and Libby enjoy spending time together outside of work.

Lucy, manager of client development at RN Network, says she’s grateful that Libby referred her to CHG nearly seven years ago.

“I was looking for a healthier nurse staffing environment, as I had been a per diem recruiter for a few years,” Lucy expresses. “I love that people are so honest and real here. CHG promotes being nice and doing the right thing. It is so different from most corporate drone-like companies out there! And at RN Network, Bill Heller has helped create a workplace that has a lot of heart.”

Libby, who has worked at CHG for nine years, notes that the best part of coming to work each day is the people and notes, “Many different personalities combine to create an amazingly supportive work environment and a very successful organization.”

When Libby and Lucy aren’t hard at work, they enjoy attending President’s Club and sharing both exciting news and challenges with each other.

“I always know where Libby is coming from when a provider doesn't work out or when a client is upset,” Lucy says. “I know how it feels, and we share advice on how we could handle the situation. My sister is the best physician recruiter out there, and I taught her everything I know.”

Have talked to Lucy on the phone for years.  Just recently you came to Salt Lake and it was so great to meet and work with you in person on our RFP Kaizen. Thanks so much for all your input!
