CHG is sometimes referred to as a "big, happy family." For some employees, however, that phrase rings very true -- they work each day with their family, whether it be a spouse, sibling, son, daughter, mother or father. Get to know our real-life CHG families in this series of weekly stories, We Are Family!
We Are Family: Just the Way You Are
For Jared and Becka Belcher, a husband and wife who both work at the Salt Lake City office, carpooling is the best part of working with family.
“We currently live in Lehi (about 30 minutes away from the office), and being able to drive one car versus two saves us a lot of money,” Becka shares.

It wasn’t always that way, however. Becka, a Business Partner training specialist for the CompHealth locum tenens division, started at CHG nearly six years ago when Jared’s sister, Jenni Wood, referred her to the company. After four years, Jared says, Becka “started pulling on my shoe strings to make a change” -- and he joined the company in 2010.
“Jared was working at Burton Lumber, and the lumber business wasn’t doing very well. With our first child on the way, I wanted Jared to find a good job with a stable company – the kind of job CompHealth has always made for me,” Becka says. “So he applied for a couple different positions and was offered the job of medical staff services assistant.”
Besides carpooling and occasionally enjoying lunch together, Becka and Jared both enjoy CHG’s culture and make sure to have fun at work – especially Jared.
“I used to tease my sister, Jenni, by doing things like licking my desk,” Jared recalls. “She is a clean freak/OCD kind of person, and since she was my sister, I didn’t feel bad teasing her. I felt obligated -- and it was fun, too.”
Becka also appreciates that CHG consistently puts people first, especially as she and Jared care for their young daughter, Mya.
“CHG has a great work environment, great leadership and an understanding of the balance of work/home life,” Becka expresses. “The culture became especially important when we had our daughter. If there is a situation when I need to leave or stay home when she is ill, they understand.”
Being close to his family, especially his daughter, is important to Jared as well.
“Whoever gets off work first gets to pick up our little Mya, and we can bring her in for a few minutes so everyone can see how big she is. She’s so much fun,” Jared shares. “And I get to see my beautiful wife pretty much whenever I want.”
