CHG is sometimes referred to as a "big, happy family." For some employees, however, that phrase rings very true -- they work each day with their family, whether it be a spouse, sibling, son, daughter, mother or father. Get to know our real-life CHG families in this series of weekly stories, We Are Family!
We Are Family: Brothers and Sisters
Family has always been important to Jai Lebo and Jessie Smith, siblings who both work in the Salt Lake City office.
"I love knowing that Jai is just a short elevator ride away," Jessie, an administrative assistant on the CompHealth locum tenens medical staff services team, says. "Our mom taught us that family always comes first and that it is important that we always keep close tabs on each other so we can be there when we need one another."

And Jai, CHG's director of software engineering, is sure to stop by Jessie's cubicle to say hi, especially now that she's expecting her first child in February.
"We also bump into each other in the elevator or Gathering Room every now and then. I always get a bright smile and a 'Hey, sis!' out of him, and I love that," Jessie expresses.
Jai, who has worked at CHG more than four years, referred Jessie in 2009 and says the company is an awesome place to work. He especially likes the company's Putting People First culture.
"I like that from the top of leadership down it is more about the people than the work," Jai says. "I also enjoy the challenges, culture and business CHG is in."
For Jessie, the best part about CHG is that leaders make sure employees know how much they are valued.
"Together, we all play an important role in getting our doctors to work and, more importantly, care to the patients whom our doctors and facilities serve," she says. "Our mom taught Jai, myself and our other siblings the importance of team work, honesty and a strong work ethic, both in and outside of the home. CHG is a company that values these traits."
Jai and Jessie frequently talk about their mother's influence in their lives as children, and her focus on strengthening her family continues to impact them as adults.
"I can’t think of a time when I needed Jai more than the day he came to my desk to let me know that our mom had passed away unexpectedly. Jai was able to be here for me in person that day, and I know that is what our mom would have wanted," Jessie shares.
Though they're both busy and don't see each other as often as they'd like, Jai is quick to include Jessie when his family visits him at the office.
"There is no difference between my family and my siblings and their families," Jai shares. "I love that when my wife and kids come to visit, it is always assumed we will go and visit Jessie and include her in whatever we are doing."
Jessie enjoys the company of visiting family as well.
"My sweet nieces always make sure to come to see their Aunt Jessie, too," she says. "I love those little ladies."
