CHG is sometimes referred to as a "big, happy family." For some employees, however, that phrase rings very true -- they work each day with their family, whether it be a spouse, sibling, son, daughter, mother or father. Get to know our real-life CHG families in this series of weekly stories, We Are Family!
We Are Family: Jolly Goodfellows
Nic and Nikki Goodfellow never expected to find love at a healthcare staffing company in Salt Lake City, Utah, but that’s just what happened. The husband and wife pair married in November 2010 and continue to enjoy working together – and surprising co-workers.
“When we started dating, we wanted to keep our relationship a secret -- there’s a lot less pressure that way,” Nic, multimedia specialist for CHG’s marketing team, recalls. “It was amazing to me that when we announced our engagement, very few people knew we had even dated. I guess I was surprised that word didn't leak out.”

Nic, who started at CHG in 2006, formerly worked at Nike headquarters in Oregon and coached high school basketball. He says he found CHG “on a total whim” when he was ready to make a change and enjoys his work at the company.
“I love the people I work with. Mike Weinholtz [the company’s CEO] speaks about Putting People First all the time, but he truly cares about people here,” Nic expresses. “When the person who runs the company works hard to walk the talk, it makes me want to work hard to help other people understand what a rarity it is to work at a place like this. I tell friends and family all the time: If they are struggling at their place of employment, they need to come here.”
Nikki began work at CHG in 2008 following a “glowing recommendation” from friend Adrian Dennis and likes her role as a recruiter on the CompHealth locum tenens neurology team.
“I love the culture, and I love the people at CHG,” Nikki shares. “I work with an awesome group of people who work hard, and they want to be here. I think that comes from our leader’s desire to keep us engaged while pushing us to be successful at the same time.”
Though they work in different divisions of the company, Nic and Nikki make time to work out together during lunch or take a quick walk when they need to get away from their desks.
“I get to work with my wife, which is a huge blessing,” Nic says. “I get to celebrate her successes and share in her frustrations and know what she means. We have the same holiday breaks and we get to carpool. There are so many great things that go along with working with my wife.”
