CHG is sometimes referred to as a "big, happy family." For some employees, however, that phrase rings very true -- they work each day with their family, whether it be a spouse, sibling, son, daughter, mother or father. Get to know our real-life CHG families in this series of weekly stories, We Are Family!
We Are Family: Worker Aunts
Sisters Cynthia Martin and Diane Martin live together, carpool each day to the Salt Lake office and are always hard at work -- but they still find time to spend with their niece, Tess Kooring, who joined CHG nine months ago. All three now work in the CompHealth locum tenens division.
"Both aunts are long-time CHG employees who have had nothing but good things to say about the company," says Tess, assignment coordinator for the CompHealth locum tenens primary care team. "I was in need of a good job with a company I could grow with, and they both felt confident in referring me to CompHealth."

The Martin/Kooring family CHG story began with Cynthia, assignment coordinator on the CompHealth locum tenens anesthesiology team, who joined CHG nearly 15 years ago.
"Coming to work here changed my life completely," Cynthia shares. "I have been able to do things I never, ever could have accomplished at my previous job. The best thing they ever did for me was to lay me off, and I ended up here."
Diane, assignment coordinator for the CompHealth locum tenens emergency medicine team, joined the company seven years ago.
"I’m a little slow, and it took me a little longer, but when I saw how happy Cynthia has always been here, I knew I wanted to work here too," Diane expresses. "I have never met better people anywhere. I also love the culture and the fact that they really do put people first. This company has made so much possible for me that I didn’t think I would ever be able to do."
Though Cynthia and Diane work on different teams, they do have the same last name, which is both a curse and a blessing at CHG.
"We get each other’s follow-ups and, once in a while, phone calls," Diane shares. "And it’s always fun when people don’t realize after all this time that we’re related."
Cynthia likes her family's collaboration and closeness at CHG as well.
"We have a sounding board for ideas and things we think might help our jobs and teams, and yes, the occasional gripe session," Cynthia says.
While Tess doesn't share a home (or a name) with her aunts, she does get to share lunch with them occasionally, sit with them at events and ask any questions she has about work.
"I just enjoy the fact that I can see my family whenever I’d like," Tess shares.
