CHG Health and Wellness

Putting People First

We know that our employees’ lives encompass much more than the time they spend at work. This knowledge drives all of the decisions we make regarding our benefit programs. We want our employees to be happy and motivated, and we realize that can only happen if we offer benefits that help them maintain a healthy work/life balance.

One of the reasons that FORTUNE magazine included CHG Healthcare Services on their list of America’s 100 Best Companies to Work For is the praise that CHG employees give to our comprehensive benefits program. We call it CHG Health and Wellness.

Our full range of benefits includes the following:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life, accidental death and dismemberment, and short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Retirement planning and savings options

Marathon Health Center

In 2012, we partnered with Marathon Health to open an on-site health center at our Salt Lake City and Fort Lauderdale locations for CHG employees and their immediate family members. The center provides primary and acute care services that include screenings, exams, prescriptions, blood tests and referral management.

Health coaching is available at all CHG locations for issues such as weight and stress management, tobacco cessation and low back pain. This benefit provides a convenient way for employees to access quality healthcare and guidance.

Ten Popular Benefits Offered through CHG Health and Wellness

In addition to comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and income-replacement insurance benefits, CHG Healthcare Services offers an array of unique and innovative benefits that support a work/life balance.

WellnessPays: This innovative wellness program provides opportunities for CHG employees to improve their professional and personal lives. It includes free health screenings, flu shots, on-site yoga classes, massage therapy, and more. Employees also have the opportunity to earn discounts on their annual health insurance premiums by participating in select wellness events held during the year.

Flexible Schedules: Twenty percent of our employees benefit from work schedules that differ from standard working hours by more than two hours.

Volunteer Time Off: Each calendar year, CHG provides eight hours of paid volunteer time off to our employees to give back to the community by volunteering for a nonprofit organization of their choice.

Smoking Cessation Program: This program reimburses employees for prescription medications used to help smokers quit their smoking habit that are not covered by health insurance plans currently offered by CHG.

Rock Your Body: Similar to NBC's Biggest Loser television show, the CHG Rock Your Body challenge uses percentage of total weight lost to determine winners in male, female, and team categories. An increasing number of employees participate in this competition each year.

PTO Gifting Program: This offers a way for employees to donate a portion of their accumulated PTO to coworkers facing hardship brought on by a serious health condition, birth or care of an infant, adoption or foster placement, or care of a spouse, child or parent with a serious health condition.

Tuition Assistance: Our tuition advance program allows employees to request advance tuition payment rather than getting reimbursed; funds can also be used to cover textbooks and mandatory course fees.

TelaDoc: Employees love this phone consultation service, which is available 24/7 and gives employees access to physicians who provide patient evaluations, prescriptions, or referrals to additional care.

PatientCare: This free advocacy service assists employees with healthcare billing and insurance issues, eliminating the time and frustration of trying to resolve such issues on their own.

Employee Assistance Program: A variety of services are provided by this program, including legal and financial consulting and referrals for adoptions, child and senior care, summer care, and pet care.
